We left Newberry Springs at 9am and took 395 North. 395 follows the Sierras on the Eastern side. There is some amazing scenery. We stopped outside of Bishop, CA, at Pleasant Valley Pit BLM campground. This is a great remote campground with very few visitor. The three of us hiked up to the top of a mesa, and we could look down at the local county campground.
