All of the hail was gone when we woke up this morning. The ground was very wet though. I could not find any damage on the truck or trailer. We hiked around the reservoir, and ran into another person who was here overnight. He was parked close to ledge of the reservoir, so his camper started sliding down during the storm. He got out in the middle of the hail to move his trailer. He said the hail was very painful. A lot of our hike was very muddy. Mia found a horned lizard. We also had a prong horned antelope walk near our campsite. Another storm rolled in this afternoon. The wind was pretty intense, but we didn’t get any rain or hail. In the middle of the night, a pack of coyotes came through the campground. It was amazing hearing them talk to each other with high pitched yips. Then they would occasionally howl in unison. It was an incredible experience to be in the middle of it. I've only ever heard them howling from a distance. All of this didn't seem to bother Oreo at all. I would have loved to actually see them, but I wasn't going outside with that many around.
I love seeing the animals. So happy it wasn’t you who started to slide down during the storm! 🤭
