Margie, Shannon and Sequoia left this morning to visit family in Phoenix. We will meet up with them in a few days. We have rain coming in two days, so Kathy and I decided to replace the seals on the trailer slide out. It took most of the day, and the new ones I ordered were too stiff and wouldn’t allow the slide to close properly. By the end of the day, we were exhausted and extremely frustrated. We ended up removing parts of the new seals. Then Mia found a huge spider in our bathroom. Turns out to be a Giant Crab Spider. Harmless, but big.

We drove into Tucson this morning. While Kathy did some laundry, I drove to several RV stores to find better seals for our trailer. I finally found some at the fourth store. Back at the trailer we spent the rest of the afternoon being just as frustrated as yesterday, but we finally completed the seals. The wind picked up drastically this evening.

The wind was horrible this morning. By 1pm it had started raining, which helped keep the dust down. We spent most of the day inside, and our seals did not leak!

It got very cold last night. When I woke up this morning, Kathy informed me that the heater had stopped working. I spent an hour troubleshooting it down to the fan motor. Kathy started calling RV service centers. We finally found one that could look at it, and we loaded up and drove into Tucson. We dropped the trailer off, and went to breakfast. The RV center fixed the heater in a few hours. We finally got out of Tucson at 3:30pm and drove to some BLM land near Florence, AZ. It is beautiful. Unfortunately, there is jumping cholla everywhere, and we can’t let Oreo off of the leash. The Canadians have joined us again this evening.

After lunch, all of us went on a hike to find some local petroglyphs. We never found them, but we ended up hiking all the way around the mountain we are camped at. There is some amazing scenery here with all the different kinds of cactus. There are also a lot of ATVs and people shooting. It’s supposed to get busier tomorrow, so we will probably leave.
Loved the spider! It looks just like the one we saw in the rain forest in Australia - do you feel stalked? 😂 So happy you got everything fixed up.
